BJP's Rae Bareli candidate Dinesh Pratap Singh, who lost to Rahul Gandhi, said on Wednesday that he will be on a partial leave only on Saturdays and Sundays for a year and hoped the Congress leader will solve the problems of the locals.

Hoping that the people will not feel his absence as Rahul Gandhi will be there for them, the UP minister said now that Rahul Gandhi is the MP of Raebareli, the Congress leader will sit in Rae Bareli every Saturday and Sunday to solve all their problems.

"He (Rahul Gandhi) will also be with you in every happiness and sorrow, whether it is the marriage of your daughter or any other purpose," he added.

The INDIA bloc's meeting began this evening at Mallikarjun Kharge's residence. Priyanka Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav and other INDI alliance leaders arrived early this evening to attend the meeting.

President Droupadi Murmu today issued an order for the dissolution of the 17th Lok Sabha, as stated in a communique from the Rashtrapati Bhavan, PTI has reported.

As per a CNN-News18 report, TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar have agreed to form a coalition government of the NDA allies. Early this afternoon, both leaders arrived at the 7 Lok Kalyan Marg.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, in an interaction with the press today, came down heavily on the BJP, stating, "The NDA is set to form the government with the support of Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu. However, the BJP was expected to secure a majority on its own. This outcome indicates a moral and political defeat for Modi Ji and the BJP, showing that even he is not infallible and should accept that he is a human being, not a deity".

So far, over 50 world leaders have congratulated PM Narendra Modi on his third-term victory. Among those extending congratulations are the Presidents of Sri Lanka, Maldives, Iran, and Seychelles, as well as the Prime Ministers of Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, and Mauritius. From the G20 countries, the Prime Ministers of Italy and Japan, and the President of South Korea have sent their greetings.

From Africa, the Presidents of Nigeria, Kenya, and Comoros have extended their congratulations. Leaders from the Caribbean, including those from Jamaica, Barbados, and Guyana, have also congratulated the Prime Minister. Additionally, the Prime Ministers of Singapore and Malaysia from Southeast Asia have sent their congratulatory messages.

Congress' KL Sharma, who clinched victory from the Amethi Lok Sabha seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, stated that he wants Rahul Gandhi to hold on to his Rae Bareli seat.
In an interaction with the media on June 5, Sharma stated, "I did not give Rahul Gandhi any advice, but I would suggest that he hold on to Raebareli".

Reflecting on the recent electoral setbacks, Fadnavis emphasised the need for introspection and strategic planning to address weaknesses that led to the loss of seats. Despite the challenges faced by the MVA alliance, he expressed confidence in the party's ability to enhance its performance and overcome obstacles. "MVA alliance may have got an advantage in these elections, but we will work to improve our performance; party workers have worked very hard," he said.

Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis says, "I take full responsibility for the election results in Maharashtra as I was leading the party. I have requested the BJP high command to relieve me from government duties so that I can focus on strengthening the party for the upcoming elections."

Samajwadi Party Chief and newly elected MP from Kannauj, Akhilesh Yadav, says, "The Samajwadi Party's goal was to stop the BJP, and I thank the people for their support. Their contributions, hopes, and expectations are worth saluting. It's all about numbers. People have rejected negative politics."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tendered his resignation along with his Council of Ministers, paving the way for the formation of the new NDA government. The swearing-in ceremony for Prime Minister Modi is likely to take place on June 8, marking the official start of his new term.

Delhi BJP Chief Virendraa Sachdeva expressed pride over the BJP's sweeping victory in all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi. "We were hopeful of making history by winning all seven seats, and the people of Delhi have blessed PM Modi," he said. "Our next goal is the Delhi Vidhan Sabha, and we are committed to fulfilling the hopes of the public in Delhi."

State BJP President K Surendran described the BJP's victory in Kerala's Lok Sabha elections as very important and significant. "We opened our account and our vote share increased to 20% in this election. This is the beginning of a big journey as we prepare for the upcoming local body and Assembly elections, where BJP will be the main contender," he said.

Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Vijay Wadettiwar, stated, "The government of the INDIA alliance will be formed. PM Modi and Amit Shah are known for breaking apart their allies' parties, like Uddhav Thackeray's and Biju Patnaik's. Wherever these two go, they will wield power, and they will join us."

Jharkhand CM Champai Soren emphasises the need for post-election discussions among the alliance members. With no single party securing a majority, collaboration is deemed crucial. Here's what he said: " ...Election is over so it is important to talk among the alliance so there is a meeting in the evening...no party has got the majority, all are going forward with alliance only. Therefore it is important for us to hold a discussion."

Senior Congress leader Kamal Nath announced plans to scrutinize the Congress party's performance in the Lok Sabha elections. Asked about the INDIA alliance's intentions regarding forming the government at the Centre, RJD's Tejashwi Yadav urged patience, advising to "wait and watch."

NDA with JD(U) and TDP: This alliance would amass a total of 296 seats, leveraging the combined strength of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)), and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

NDA with only TDP: In this scenario, with the exclusion of JD(U), the NDA's seat count would stand at 284, relying solely on the support of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

The Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, tendered his resignation to Governor Raghubar Das following the defeat of his Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in the Assembly polls, the outcomes of which were disclosed on June 4.

Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support received from the people of Uttarakhand, Dhami thanked them for entrusting the BJP with all five parliamentary seats in the state. "I want to thank the people of Uttarakhand for believing in us," he said.

Upon his arrival in Delhi, BJP leader Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank asserted the party's electoral achievements, highlighting their significant success compared to other political entities. Stressing the BJP's status as the largest single party, Nishank emphasised that the collective seat count of all other parties paled in comparison to their own.

"We single-handedly won more (seats) than all of them combined. BJP is the single largest party and all of the other parties combined could not come close to where we reached..."

TDP's Chandrababu Naidu addressed the media and confirmed the TDP's affiliation with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Naidu indicated his intention to attend the upcoming NDA meeting. He assured that pertinent updates would be shared in due course.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) spokesperson, stressing the importance of seamless coordination between the state and the central government, emphasised the absence of any preconditions in alliances, "There are no conditions, no alliance works under conditions."

Additionally, the spokesperson sought to dispel media speculation regarding the JD(U)'s purported interest in the Railway Ministry, labeling such reports as mere gossip. Instead, the spokesperson commended Nitish Kumar's contributions to the railway sector, highlighting his significant achievements in the department.

Amidst speculation surrounding the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) and its purported demand for a common programme, a spokesperson for the party has refuted such claims, stating that they are not currently aware of any such demand. Emphasizing caution, the spokesperson deemed it premature to engage in discussions regarding any potential agreements, asserting that all decisions will be subject to deliberation within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) framework.

The spokesperson outlined the TDP's agenda, placing a strong emphasis on revitalising the state, "We want to put Andhra Pradesh back on track". Asserting the need for support from the central government, particularly in the development of Andhra Pradesh's capital, "Building capital of Andhra Pradesh is our foremost priority."

In a statement to the press, a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) spokesperson reiterated the party's steadfast commitment to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), categorically stating that they are an essential component of the alliance. Emphasising the collaborative nature of alliances, the spokesperson dismissed the notion of setting conditions, highlighting job creation and development as paramount concerns for the party.

A Special Status for Bihar or a financial package for Bihar seeking greater cash benefits could be sought by JD(U), Sources tell CNN-News18

Sources have revealed to CNN-News18 that the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) is set to assert a singular demand, articulated as a "common minimum programme," as it navigates potential alliances or collaborations. Additionally, insider information suggests that the JD(U) may be eyeing key portfolios such as railways, rural development, and agriculture. However, in what could be perceived as a setback for the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) agenda, sources indicate a divergence from initiatives like the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC).

LJP (Ramvilas) chief Chirag Paswan says, "... NDA stands united. The day is not far, when NDA partners will form a government under the leadership of my Prime Minister Narendra Modi... We will analyse our shortcomings and we will sit together and discuss about it. In 2029 Lok Sabha elections, NDA will win all 40 seats in Bihar."

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu says, "An alliance has been formed for the welfare and development of the state. 55.38% of votes have been cast. The TDP secured 45%, and the YSRCP secured 39%...Many TDP activists have faced sleepless nights and have been tortured. Even media was obstructed in the state and CID cases were lodged on media houses."

TDP, BJP and Jana Sena Party alliance in the state swept Andhra Pradesh elections, winning 164 of the total 175 sets here. TDP also win 16 Lok Sabha seats.

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu says, "Today, I am heading to Delhi. After the completion of the election, this is my first press meet before going to Delhi. I am very glad for the support of the voters. Ups and downs are common in politics. Many political leaders and parties have been ousted in history. This is a historic election. Even voters from abroad have returned to their hometowns to exercise their votes."

When asked if they are trying to have an INDIA alliance at the Centre, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav says, "We will keep trying. People should keep trying. Why shouldn't they?" He also says, "Our performance has been very good...We based our contest on issues...Lord Ram blessed INDIA Alliance in Ayodhya. So, it is very clear that the 'Modi factor' is finished. BJP is far away from the majority. It is now dependent on allies. We are happy that we have been successful to a great extent in safeguarding the Constitution..."

After meeting Bihar CM and JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar, LJP (Ram Vilas) chief and MP Chirag Paswan says, "It was not a day to hold discussions but only to congratulate the CM. The manner in which the CM strengthened our alliance. The credit for the NDA's performance in Bihar goes to the leadership of PM Modi as well as Nitish Kumar. All MPs of my party met him to congratulate him, thank him and seek his blessings...We are now going to Delhi for the NDA meeting..."

The Head of 'Waris Punjab De' Amritpal Singh has won the election from Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha constituency as an independent candidate by a very good margin. He is serving a jail term in an Assam jail under National Security Act. He has been demanding a separate state.

In his absence, the campaigning was done by his family and supporters. Here's what his mother said. "I thank all the supporters and the youths from the heart. I also appeal to people to refrain from celebrations till June 6. Our win is dedicated to all the people who lost their lives. We will celebrate after June 6."
