Hyderabad braces for heavy rains, IMD issues 5-day yellow alert across Telangana

IMD Hyderabad has sounded a yellow alert, warning of intense downpours across several districts in Telangana over the next five days, till September 14.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, has issued a five-day weather forecast for Telangana, warning of widespread rainfall activity across several districts with isolated spells of heavy downpours, thunderstorms, and gusty winds.

According to a report by The Siasat Daily, the IMD has sounded a yellow alert, warning of intense downpours across several regions over the next five days, till September 14.

As per the report, all districts of Telangana are excepted to witness heavy rainfall except Jogulamba Gadwal, Wanaparthy, and Nagarkurnool districts.

For Hyderabad, the weather department has forecast rains and thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds from Wednesday till Saturday. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for the city for two days on September 12 and 13.

Meanwhile, the temperature in the state has declined to as low as 28.7 degrees Celsius, which was recorded in Adilabad district. In Hyderabad, the lowest temperature of 33.2 °C was recorded in Tirumalagiri.
