Chennai weather: Scorching heat, thunderstorms likely tomorrow

Chennai is expected to witness a day with contrasting weather conditions on Tuesday, abp reported.
According to the report, the Regional Meteorological Centre has predicted a hot and humid morning for Chennai followed by scattered afternoon thunderstorms, with highs reaching 35 °C and lows dipping to 26 °C.

Meanwhile, multiple regions of Tamil Nadu likely to witness significant rainfall between June 10 and June 13, as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The report added that several districts in the state may witness heavy downpours, while Chennai is expected to see moderate rain and thunderstorms beginning June 10.

Nine districts, including Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tirupathur, Vellore, Ranipet, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Kallakurichi, and Cuddalore, are expected to wintess moderate to heavy rainfall.

These showers are expected due to ongoing atmospheric disturbances and shifting wind patterns over the region, the report added.
