KTM today announced the launch of the new KTM 390 Adventure X and the international-spec KTM 390 Adventure Enduro R in India, with the former priced at Rs 3,03,125 (ex-showroom) and the latter available for Rs 3,53,825 (ex-showroom).
The new 390 Adventure X has been introduced with upgraded features like cruise control with both cruise and speed limiter modes, multiple ride modes (Street, Rain, and Off-road), cornering ABS and motorcycle traction control.
At the heart of the new 390 Adventure X is a 398.63 cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve, DOHC, FI engine, which develops 46 PS of maximum power and 39 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
"The KTM 390 Adventure Enduro R global-spec variant is launching in India, aimed at the blue-blooded off-roader who wants uncompromised Dakar-honed performance," KTM said in an official statement.
The suspension set-up on the erstwhile India-spec model had 200 mm of travel at the front and 205 mm of travel at the rear. However, the KTM 390 Adventure Enduro R global-spec has 230 mm travel at the front and rear. This has resulted in the seat height increasing by 35 mm from 860 mm to 895 mm. Also, the ground clearance has gone up by 24 mm from 253 mm to 277 mm.
The KTM 390 Adventure Enduro R global-spec uses the same engine and transmission as the KTM 390 Adventure X -- the 46 PS/39 Nm 398.63 cc unit clubbed with a 6-speed gearbox.
