KTM has updated the KTM 160 Duke motorcycle with the introduction of a new variant that features a 5-inch colour TFT display with bonded glass, navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. The fresh version is priced at Rs 1,78,536 (ex-showroom), while the base variant without the new screen continues to be available at Rs 1,70,545 (ex-showroom).
The new 5-inch colour TFT unit is derived from the Gen-3 KTM 390 Duke and is positioned as the central interface between the rider and the motorcycle. It is paired with a revised switch cube that features four-way menu switches, allowing access to vehicle functions and smartphone-related features. The display supports navigation and Bluetooth-based connectivity when paired through the KTM My Ride app.
Using the KTM Connect app, riders can access turn-by-turn navigation directly on the TFT display. The app also acts as a platform for viewing ride-related data, travel information and other motorcycle details. Navigation and connectivity features function through Bluetooth pairing with the rider's smartphone.
The Bluetooth system allows incoming call notifications to be displayed on the screen. Riders can accept or decline calls using the handlebar-mounted switches. As a safety measure, outgoing calls and access to the phone's address book are disabled while riding. The system also supports headset pairing, enabling music playback control through a compatible Bluetooth helmet headset, with track information shown on the TFT display.
The TFT interface also enables access to Supermoto ABS mode. When activated, this setting disengages ABS intervention at the rear wheel, a function intended for specific riding conditions such as controlled slides or Supermoto-style riding. Riders can toggle this mode directly through the display.
Additional display-related features include customisable colour themes, shift RPM settings and configurable shortcuts. Riders can adjust display preferences using the left handlebar-mounted menu switch, allowing the screen to alternate between dark and orange themes based on user settings.
