Metals major Vedanta reported a consolidated profit of Rs 2,053 crore for the quarter ended December against Rs 2,133 crore in the same quarter of last year. A one-time loss of Rs 158 crore could have impacted the results.
The consolidated revenue has risen 26 percent at Rs 24,361 crore against Rs 19,415 crore year on year.
At the operational level, the company posted 15 percent rise in EBITDA at Rs 6,763 crore against Rs 5,867 crore year on year. Meanwhile, the operating margin is reported at 27.8 percent against 30.2 percent year on year.
The iron revenue has fallen 42 percent to Rs 843 crore, while the aluminium and copper revenue has risen 69 and 8 percent, respectively.
