Post offices sell HMT watches
As part of providing more diversified services to the public, the Department of Posts has entered into a pact with watch manufacturer HMT for retailing its watches through its post offices here.

As part of providing more diversified services to the public, the Department of Posts has entered into a pact with watch manufacturer HMT for retailing its watches through its post offices here.
As per the agreement, around 50 watch models between the price tag of Rs 395 and Rs 3,300 would be available.An inaugural offer of 10-25% discount on select models had also been announced, an official release said.The service would currently be available at Anna Road Head Post Office and at Chennai GPO, it saidChennai City Postmaster General M S Ramanujan inaugurated the service and the first watch was bought by HMT Watches Managing Director S Paul Raj, the release added.
