Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza records highest sales in July 2017, 4th most selling car in India

The Brezza became the first compact SUV from Maruti and quickly became the largest-selling SUV in the country. Maruti Suzuki’s only SUV Vitara Brezza has jumped 3 ranks in order to become the 4th most selling car in India in July 2017 with 15,243 units sold in July which is also the highest ever sales of Brezza in a single month, almost 205 more than its previous highest sales. Launched in March last year, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is the only UV in the current list of 10 top selling cars in India. Last month Vitara Brezza was at 7th rank with 8,293 units. The implementation of goods and services tax in the country also hampered the sales of sub 4-meter compact SUVs in India.

Overall Maruti Suzuki has recorded highest ever monthly sales in July 2017 with 1.65 lakh units marking a 20% growth. The UV segment grew by 48.3% to 25,781 units as compared to 17,382 units in the corresponding month last year. The company offers Ertiga, S-Cross and Vitara Brezza in the UV segment. Surprisingly, 7 out of 10 top selling cars of July 2017 are made by Maruti Suzuki. Available in 7 variants, Vitara Brezza ranges from Rs 7.24 lakh up to Rs 9.91 lakh.
