    Government aims to make 6 big PSU banks out of 26: media report

    As per the report, the proposal seeks merging Andhra Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Vijaya Bank with Bank of India. Another merger is likely for Syndicate Bank, Indian Overseas Bank and UCO Bank with Canara Bank.
