Xbox users can now grab a free copy of Metro 2033 Redux, as 4A Games has resolved an earlier issue that prevented Xbox players from claiming the title during the Metro franchise’s 15th anniversary celebration in April. The giveaway is now live and can be redeemed on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles.
Back in April 2025, 4A Games offered Metro 2033 Redux for free across platforms like Steam, GOG, and Xbox. While PC gamers were able to claim the title successfully, Xbox users reported that the game wasn’t redeemable. After weeks of waiting, the developer has finally fixed the issue, and the game is available at no cost on the Xbox Store.
Metro 2033 Redux is a remastered version of the original Metro 2033, featuring improved visuals, performance upgrades, and gameplay refinements. Set in a post-apocalyptic Moscow, the game follows Artyom, a young survivor living in the city’s underground metro system. As mutants roam the surface and rival factions clash in the tunnels, Artyom must journey to warn humanity of an emerging threat.

Step 5: Click the “Get” or “Install” button. The price should show as ₹0 or “Free.”
Step 6: The game will be added to your Xbox account and can be downloaded anytime.
There’s no mention of when the offer will expire, so users are advised to redeem it as soon as possible. Once claimed, the game remains yours permanently.
