Vivo has launched the V60e in India, expanding its V-series lineup ahead of the festive season. Priced from Rs 29,999, the smartphone features a 200MP dual rear camera setup, 50MP front camera, and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset. It ships with Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15, supports up to 12GB RAM, and packs 256GB internal storage.
The device includes a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging, and IP68/IP69-rated dust and water resistance. Other features include NFC, an IR blaster, and AI tools like AI Erase 3.0, AI Smart Call Assistant, and Gemini integration.
Vivo’s approach with the V60e prioritizes battery endurance and durability, but in 2025’s crowded mid-range segment, the overall package feels a step behind. Its processor sits below the performance curve, and despite its 200MP sensor, camera versatility and optimization lag behind competitors.
Why the Vivo V60e feels underwhelming
At its Rs 29,999 starting price, the Dimensity 7360-Turbo places the V60e at a disadvantage. Competing phones in the same bracket now feature newer 4nm chipsets that deliver better efficiency, graphics handling, and AI task performance. The 8GB + 128GB base configuration also undercuts rivals that start at 256GB storage.
Vivo’s camera strategy centers on megapixel count rather than versatility. While the 200MP sensor supports OIS and 30x zoom, the secondary 8MP ultrawide limits creative flexibility. In low-light and motion-heavy scenarios, its output can’t match devices tuned for computational imaging.
In short, the V60e stands tall on endurance and ruggedness but lags on chipset.
Better alternatives in 2025
iQOO Neo 10
The iQOO Neo 10, launched in 2025 at around Rs 31,999, runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset with a 7,000mAh battery and 120W charging. Its 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED display and IP65 build make it one of the most performance-focused phones in this class. Compared to the V60e, it offers stronger multitasking power, faster charging, and a smoother panel, though it lacks the latter’s IP69 durability.
OnePlus Nord CE5
Priced near Rs 26,999, the Nord CE5 uses the Dimensity 8350 Apex and supports 80W SuperVOOC charging for its 5,200mAh battery. It pairs a 50MP Sony sensor with a 120Hz AMOLED display and ships with OxygenOS known for stability. While not the most durable, it delivers better processing balance and cleaner software than the V60e.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE
The Galaxy S24 FE, powered by the Exynos 2400e, targets buyers seeking long-term reliability. It offers a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, a triple camera setup (50MP wide, 12MP ultrawide, 8MP telephoto), and extended Android update support. Though its 4,700mAh battery isn’t as large, it’s better optimized and bolstered by Samsung’s ecosystem advantages.
Oppo K13 Turbo
Oppo’s K13 Turbo brings a balanced mix of hardware and efficiency. It runs the Dimensity 8450 processor, includes a 7,000mAh battery, 80W charging, and improved thermals with an internal cooling system. Its 120Hz AMOLED display and higher RAM configurations (up to 16GB) make it a performance-heavy pick. While it doesn’t have IP69 protection, it outpaces the V60e in sustained gaming and processing stability.
