Minecraft recently got a Stranger Things DLC. Developed by Blockception, the DLC based on the hit sci-fi Netflix show is out in the Minecraft Marketplace. The Stranger Things DLC makes fans of the show relive the first four seasons of the TV series in Minecraft. Players also have a chance to snag the Hellfire Club T-Shirt Character Creator item for free.
Minecraft’s Stranger Things DLC takes you right back to the 1980s. You will spawn in the world of Mike, Dustin and friends and “experience an unsupervised childhood of walkie-talkies, arcades, and coke-floats”, as per a website post on Minecraft.net.
Explore iconic Stranger Things locations and relive major moments
With the Stranger Things DLC, you’ll explore iconic locations like Hawkins, The Upside Down and more and get to relive some of the major moments of the hit TV show.
Discover Eleven in Mirkwood forest, fight with the Demogorgons in the Upside Down, team up with the Scoop Troop as they investigate the goings on in Starcourt Mall. You will even get to face Vecna.
Characters and their powers
The Stranger Things Minecraft DLC allows you to “wield Eleven’s telekinetic powers in battle, access the lab panels as Dr. Brenner, use Suzie’s brains to decipher codes, run the ultimate D&D campaign as Eddie, or even control minds as Vecna!”, says the website post on Minecraft.net.
Each character comes with their own abilities. As you complete each level of the crossover DLC, the town of Hawkins adds new adventures for you.
You can switch your Stranger Things character in-game whenever you want. When going monster hunting, call up your friends to assist you in multiplayer or get Mike, Dustin, Lucas and the Hawkins group to partner with you.
An important thing to note is that the Stranger Things DLC is not available on Nintendo Switch right now. If you decide to play it on your smartphone, it needs to have a minimum of 6 GB of RAM.
