Sid Meier's Civilization VII: What is the Civilization 7 Collector's Edition?

Turn-based strategy game Sid Meier's Civilization VII has launched in three game editions–Standard, Deluxe and Founder’s–but it also has a Collector's Edition. The Collector’s Edition of Civilization 7 is unique in that it is the only Civ 7 edition to not come with a copy of the game; it contains just physical items.

We repeat, Sid Meier's Civilization VII Collector’s Edition contains physical collectibles only. However, Firaxis Games and 2K Games are also giving the option to pre-order the Collector’s Edition with a copy of the Founder’s Edition in a separate bundle.

Civilization 7 Collector’s Edition: The physical items

The physical collectibles included with the Civilization VII Collector’s Edition are: A "Passage of Time" decorative clock, a scout figure, a logo pin, a challenge coin, Civilization postcards, a high-quality art print and a Yield Icon Patch Set.

• "The Passage of Time" Decorative Clock
  "The Passage of Time" Decorative Clock is a premium timepiece that commemorates “multiple eras of human history”. Its design is based on the artwork of Sid Meier's Civilization VII Founders Edition. This Civilization 7 decorative clock has a dimension of 10in x 6.76in x 2.29in or 254.5mm x 171.8mm x 58.3mm (H x W x D).


• Scout Figure
  The Scout Figure features the “iconic scout unit and their loyal canine companion, gazing into the distance at their latest discovery”. It is 3-inches tall and made of a "pewter-like metal with an antique finish".


• Logo Pin The Logo Pin is a premium metal pin featuring the Civilization VII logo in the signature hexagon shape of the strategy franchise.


• Challenge Coin
  The Challenge Coin is “emblazoned with icons representing the four victory types in Sid Meier's Civilization VII: Militaristic, Cultural, Economic, and Scientific”.


• Civilization Postcards
  These Civilization postcards feature “artwork from an assortment of civilizations that will be included in Sid Meier's Civilization VII Founders Edition at launch”.


• The Art Print
  The physical collectibles also include a high-quality art print measuring 8.25in x 11.7in (210mm x 297mm). It features the artwork for Sid Meier's Civilization VII Standard Edition.


• Yield Icon Patch Set
  The Yield Icon Patch Set includes hexagonal patches representing the in-game yields in Sid Meier's Civilization VII: Culture, Gold, Science, Production, Food, and Happiness. Civilization players can adorn their favourite clothes and bags with these patches, note the developers.
