Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 8 Watch update for its Galaxy Watch Ultra, bringing a range of new health features and a more refined user interface. The update, which was first introduced with the Galaxy Watch8 series, is now expanding to older models, including the Galaxy Watch Ultra.
New features
With the One UI 8 Watch update, Galaxy Watch Ultra users get access to features like Running Coach, Vascular Load, and Antioxidant Index. These tools are designed to provide deeper insights into the user's health and fitness, helping them track cardiovascular strain, measure antioxidant levels, and improve their running form.
The update also brings Multi-Info Tiles, allowing users to view various types of information — such as health data, calendar entries, and weather — on a single customizable screen. Another key addition is the Now Bar, which ensures quick access to ongoing activities and apps from any part of the watch interface.
These features are built to complement the Galaxy Watch Ultra’s durable design and advanced sensor suite, further enhancing its usefulness for outdoor and fitness-focused users.
How to update
To install the One UI 8 Watch update on your Galaxy Watch Ultra:
1. Connect the watch to your smartphone via the Galaxy Wearable app.
2. Go to Watch settings > Watch software update.
3. Tap on Download and install.
4. Ensure the watch has at least 50% battery before starting the update process.
Users are advised to back up their data before proceeding with the installation.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra continues to be available in multiple titanium finishes, including the newly launched Titanium Blue. Samsung also confirmed that the Galaxy Watch8, Watch8 Classic, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra in Titanium Blue will soon be available in global markets. With the rollout of One UI 8 Watch, Samsung aims to bring its latest smartwatch experience to more users ahead of the next wave of Galaxy ecosystem updates.
