Indian smartphone brand  NxtQuantum Shift Technologies has officially unveiled its in-house mobile operating system, NxtQuantum OS. The new OS will first appear on the company’s upcoming smartphones — AI+ Pulse and Nova 5G — set to launch on July 8 in India. NxtQuantum says the operating system has been designed to offer complete data control to users while incorporating AI features trained locally.

According to the company, NxtQuantum OS is built using Google Cloud’s zero-trust security model and does not permit third-party access or foreign data routing. All user data — including usage patterns, device preferences, and backup content — is stored in India using Google Cloud servers approved by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). NxtQuantum adds that its approach is consent-first, allowing users to manage how and when their data is shared.

AI and telemetry controls
The OS also introduces AI engines trained within India to power various context-aware and smart functions. The system will offer telemetry controls at the system level, allowing users to monitor what data is collected and how it’s transmitted. Though specific details about the user interface and feature set have not been disclosed, the company highlighted that the software is built entirely on an Indian technology stack.
