The Nothing Phone 3 is expected to launch in July 2025, and early teasers suggest the smartphone could bring major upgrades in design, performance, and AI features. Here’s a detailed look at what to expect from the upcoming device.
Design: Transparent but no Glyph
The Phone 3 may drop the signature Glyph interface found on previous models, marking a shift in Nothing’s design approach. While the transparent design language is likely to continue, the LED strips that lit up for notifications and calls might be removed. Instead, the phone is rumoured to feature an interactive rear panel inspired by retro gaming, possibly allowing users to play games like Pac-Man directly on the back.
Display: Bigger and brighter
Nothing is expected to upgrade the display significantly with a 6.77-inch LTPO AMOLED panel, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3000 nits. This would make it the most advanced screen on a Nothing phone yet, providing improved visibility in bright conditions and smoother performance for gaming and video playback.
Performance: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 inside
The Nothing Phone 3 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, Qualcomm’s flagship chip for 2025. The phone could be available in configurations with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage, offering better multitasking, faster app launches, and improved efficiency. It is also likely to come with enhanced thermal management for consistent performance during heavy usage.
Camera: Details still under wraps
Camera specifications have not been officially confirmed yet, but incremental upgrades over the Phone 2 are expected. Improvements in computational photography and AI-backed features could also be on the cards, especially given the phone’s AI-focused software layer.

Carl Pei has hinted at a higher price point. While global pricing could be around £800, the India launch price may be close to ₹55,000. The device is expected to feature a 5000mAh battery with 50W fast charging — the largest battery seen in a Nothing phone to date.
