Nintendo Switch 2 goes on sale globally: Price, features and should you buy it in India

Nintendo has launched the highly anticipated Switch 2 console, eight years after the original Switch. The Switch 2 comes with numerous improvements, both in terms of design, features, and overall performance. What it also comes with is so-called improved pricing.

Major US chains such as Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and GameStop have begun selling the console, though early buyers have reported limited stock and technical glitches during checkout. Nintendo has acknowledged the strong demand and advised customers to consider in-store purchases to avoid delays.
While no official India launch date has been announced, the console can be imported through online platforms. However, Indian buyers should be prepared for higher prices due to import duties, reseller margins, and potential warranty limitations.
