A leaked Microsoft Teams meeting has revealed new details about how a phone unlocking company helps law enforcement agencies access Google Pixel phones. The leak has drawn attention to growing concerns around smartphone privacy and digital security.

According to 404media, a user going by the name “rogueFed” on the GrapheneOS forum managed to join a Microsoft Teams call between employees of a well-known phone data recovery company and potential clients. During the meeting, they took screenshots showing the company’s internal “Support Matrix” — a document that explains which Google Pixel models the firm’s tools can unlock, and under what conditions. The screenshots were later posted on the forum, sparking widespread discussion.

The leaked document reveals that the company’s tools can sometimes access Pixel phones depending on whether they have been unlocked after restarting (known as “after first unlock”). However, they reportedly struggle with devices running GrapheneOS, a privacy-focused version of Android designed to protect users from digital intrusions.

The leak appears to have taken place during a sales call in October, involving a “pre-sales expert” from the company. It gives a rare glimpse into how digital forensics firms operate — developing and selling tools that can extract data from smartphones for law enforcement investigations.
