Insomniac Games’ “Marvel’s Wolverine” may launch in 2026, followed by a Venom spin-off, as per a report by Mp1st. Announced first in 2021, the Wolverine game is a PS5-exclusive solo adventure for the legendary mutant and X-Man.

According to the report, “Wolverine is still on track for a 2026 release, and Venom has been in active development.” It added that the Venom game could be in pre-production, provided Marvel’s Wolverine is the top priority of the developers.

Insomniac has revealed next to nothing about the Wolverine game ever since it was announced. But later on, documents about the release date and the playable builds of the game were leaked online.

In his brand new game, set in the same universe as that of Marvel's Spider-Man, where would Wolverine’s solo adventure take him? There have been some theories that the Wolverine storyline will be set in the pre-X-Men time of Logan in the crime-infested Madripoor. While Madripoor is not confirmed yet, it could be an ideal environment for a Wolverine game. Logan lived a double life as “Patch” in the fictional city, and Insomniac could find inspiration for the storyline from several of his Marvel Comics outings in Madripoor. But, then again, the teaser trailer showed Logan sipping his drink in a post-bar fight scenario, and it could have been any watering hole in the world and not necessarily one in Madripoor.
