Have you ever wondered how much money in salary does Apple CEO Tim Cook made? Apple’s recent filing with the SEC has revealed the annual compensation package. According to a proxy statement filed by Apple, Cook received a total compensation of $74.6 million in 2024. Compared to 2023, Cook’s salary has seen a significant jump as he earned $63.2 million the previous year.
Cook’s base salary stands at $3 million — a figure that hasn’t changed since 2016. The Apple CEO's 2024 compensation included $58 million in stock awards, $12 million in performance-based bonuses, and $1.5 million in other benefits like security and private jet travel. “In the interests of security and efficiency based on our global profile and the highly visible nature of Mr. Cook’s role as CEO, the Board also requires that Mr. Cook use private aircraft for all business and personal travel,” Apple said int he filing.
Cook was granted an equity award with 75% of the equity award subject to performance-based vesting and 25% of the equity award subject to time-based vesting, said Apple about his stock awards.
In the proxy filing, the company also said that there are no changes being made to Cook’s compensation structure in 2025. “Mr. Cook’s continued exceptional performance when evaluating Mr. Cook’s total target compensation and our executive compensation program for 2025, and made no changes to the amount or structure of Mr. Cook’s 2025 total target compensation,” noted the company.
