Google announced Veo 3 at its Google I/O developer’s conference and it is already browning people’s minds. Veo 3 is not your regular AI tool, it can create full videos just from a few lines of text. No camera, no actors, no filming involved — just a prompt, and the AI does the rest.
Tech creator Min Choi shared a bunch of examples on Twitter, and they’re wild. One clip looked like a street interview. Another showed a stand-up comedy act. There was even a music video. But none of them were real. These events never happened — the videos were fully created by AI. And they looked completely believable.
In another example, a creator named Dave Clark used Veo 3 to make a short film. He didn’t shoot a single frame. Instead, he typed out what he wanted, and the AI generated everything — the visuals, the voices, even the background sound. It’s like writing a script and watching it turn into a movie instantly.
That’s not all. Veo 3 can make videos of people explaining things, like Pythagoras talking about his famous theorem. It can create fake episodes of sitcoms, clips of tech conferences, or even Fortnite gameplay that looks just like the real thing.
What’s really impressive is how natural the videos feel. Characters talk, react, and move in a way that doesn’t feel robotic. If you didn’t know it was made by AI, you probably wouldn’t question it.
This tool is opening up so many possibilities. Teachers could make custom lessons. Creators could bring their wildest ideas to life without a big budget. It’s easy, fast, and looks professional.
But here’s the flip side. If AI can make such realistic videos, how do we know what’s real and what’s not? That’s a question people are already starting to ask.
Still, one thing’s clear, with Veo 3, Google is changing the way we think about video creation. And this might just be the beginning.
