According to a new report by 9to5Google, with version 14.9.06.x of the Gboard beta app, Google has added a new ‘Undo’ shortcut on the Gboard settings pane that lets you drag up to the suggestions row for faster access. This feature will let you take back the last phrase or one letter at a time unless you deleted an entire word/sentence.

At the same time, you also add Undo’ and ‘Redo’ buttons in the Gboard strip with accompanying icons. Further, according to the report, the new Gboard keyboard app will let you undo typed text even if you close the keyboard and open it again. However, once you exit an application and the memory is reset, you can’t take any action. At that moment, tapping the Undo key will cause the Undo/Redo options to appear. However, they’ll be grayed out or inaccessible for the time being.
