Google says Gemini Live can be used for all sorts of conversations, like asking for a suggestion or different ideas. It also supports hands-free mode, where the Gemini AI app will keep running in the background even when the phone is locked. It can even generate images and summarize calls or organize screenshots, all while prioritizing user privacy with on-device processing capabilities.

Gemini Live is available starting today with support for 10 new voices. However, the feature is currently not free and is a part of the Gemini Advanced subscription, which costs $19.99 per month. Initially, the feature is rolling out to Android devices, with iOS support expected in the coming weeks.
