Google India’s latest social media campaign smartly merges technology with pop culture, teasing its new AI Mode on Google Search through a nostalgic Bollywood reference. The video, captioned “Team mera toh life itna kharaab ho gaya hai’ give us a 😭”, borrows the iconic dialogue from the 2013 Hindi film Queen, starring Kangana Ranaut.

Not only the text in the X's post resembles to the Queen movies' dialogue. But, the video itself has the movies core storyline -- "Going to Paris alone for a honeymoon, first solo trip ever. Suggest the best places to visit and no Eiffel tower".

In Queen, Kangana’s character Rani Mehra delivers the line during a moment of heartbreak — a scene that went on to become a symbol of emotional resilience and one of Indian meme culture’s most reused expressions. By reviving this dialogue, Google taps into a familiar cultural memory, instantly striking a chord with millions of users who recognize the phrase’s blend of humor and vulnerability.

The ad mirrors Bollywood’s signature dramatic flair, complete with expressive reactions and emotive background music. However, beneath its light-hearted tone, the campaign cleverly positions Google’s AI Mode as a supportive, ever-ready companion — a digital sidekick for life’s everyday challenges.
