Google has announced expanded availability of its latest Gemini features, making advanced AI-powered tools more accessible to all users.
Gemini’s 2.0 Flash Thinking Experimental model now includes file upload support and a longer context window of up to 1 million tokens for Advanced users. This upgrade allows Gemini to process more complex queries efficiently.
Google is also expanding Deep Research, which helps users gather and analyze web data quickly. This AI-driven tool can now generate detailed reports with improved reasoning and insight. Previously limited to select users, Deep Research is now rolling out globally in 45+ languages. Free-tier users can access it a few times a month, while Gemini Advanced users get extended usage.
Personalization features are also being introduced, enabling Gemini to tailor responses based on users’ Google Search history. This allows for more relevant suggestions, such as restaurant recommendations or travel planning. Users have control over their data and can disconnect personalization at any time.
Gemini is also expanding integrations with Google apps like Calendar, Notes, Tasks, and Photos. Users can perform multi-step actions in a single prompt, such as finding a recipe on YouTube, adding ingredients to a shopping list, and locating nearby grocery stores. In the coming weeks, Gemini will integrate with Google Photos, enabling it to create travel itineraries based on past trips or retrieve important document details.
Additionally, Google is making Gems—customizable AI assistants—available to all users at no cost. Users can create their own specialized assistants, such as a language translator or fitness planner, through a simple interface.
These updates mark a significant expansion of Gemini’s capabilities, offering users more powerful AI tools without additional cost. The new features are available now at gemini.google.com.
