Tactical first-person shooter Delta Force will add a solo campaign mode for its Black Hawk Down game mode, as per a report by Videogamer. Currently, Delta Force Black Hawk Down is a purely co-op campaign mode where you and your teammates have to work together to complete the objectives.
In an interview with Videogamer, game design director Ricky Liao confirmed that a Delta Force Black Hawk Down Solo Mode with different difficulty options is in the works. Delta Force players have found the co-op campaign to be challenging, and based on the feedback, developers at Team Jade have decided to bring in a solo campaign mode with the option to lower the game difficulty.
"We’re introducing a solo mode, which will offer a more approachable experience for players who prefer playing alone, while maintaining the core tactical elements of the game,” Liao said in the interview.
A solo game mode is a good option for people who wish to experience the Delta Force Black Hawk Down campaign alone. The multiplayer campaign is a “faithful reboot” of director Ridley Scott’s 2001 movie Black Hawk Down starring an ensemble cast of Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor, Eric Bana, Tom Hardy, Orlando Bloom and others. The free-to-play Black Hawk Down campaign can be downloaded from Steam, but you need to install the original Delta Force (2025) game first, which is also free.
Speaking on the current Black Hawk Down campaign in Delta Force, Liao also said that Team Jade is "balancing changes to make the game feel more fair" in specific areas," though there are no plans to add a difficulty mode slider. "The challenge is intentional and we’ve designed the game to provide an immersive experience that challenges players to think tactically," Liao added.
So, there we have it. A confirmed solo mode for the Delta Force Black Hawk Down campaign. It will arrive but for now, the developers have kept the release date under wraps. Delta Force players can expect the solo campaign mode to be released separately from the multiplayer updates.
