Electronic Arts (EA) is set to release Battlefield 6 today (October 10, 2025) at 8:30 pm IST. The new entry in the long-running first-person shooter franchise will be available in two versions — Standard and Phantom editions. Both editions can be preloaded ahead of the global launch, allowing players to begin playing immediately once the game goes live.
Battlefield 6: Price and editions
On PC, the Battlefield 6 Standard Edition is priced at Rs 3,999 on Steam, while the Phantom Edition costs Rs 5,999. The Phantom Edition includes extra content such as vehicle skins, weapon packs, and cosmetic upgrades. The game will be available across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms.
Battlefield 6: Gameplay and features
Battlefield 6 returns with the franchise’s signature large-scale warfare but adds refined mechanics and more dynamic environments. The campaign follows Dagger 13, a Marine Raider unit tasked with stopping the private military corporation Pax Armata from destabilising global power structures. The story unfolds across diverse locations such as the Sahara Desert, Gibraltar, and New York City.
The multiplayer experience spans nine maps at launch, featuring classic modes like Conquest and Breakthrough, along with smaller-scale options such as King of the Hill, Domination, and Payload. Players can choose from four roles — Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon — each offering specialised skills in combat, vehicle management, or reconnaissance.
A revamped movement system allows players to lean from cover, climb moving vehicles, and drag teammates to safety. The returning Battlefield Portal mode also lets players modify maps and game rules to create custom experiences.
Preload and download size
Preloading is available across Steam and EA App for players who pre-ordered the game. The download size is approximately 70 GB, though it may vary by platform and edition. EA recommends preloading early to ensure a smooth experience at launch.
