Asus is set to launch its new ROG Strix G16 (2025) and ROG Strix G18 (2025) gaming laptops in India soon. Pre-bookings for the laptops will open the same day, the company confirmed through a teaser posted on X (formerly Twitter). The upcoming models will be equipped with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5000 series GPUs, including options like the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070. Not only this, the company is also expected to announce the new Zephyrus laptops on the same day.
The ROG Strix G16 (2025) and ROG Strix G18 (2025) were originally introduced at CES 2025. Both laptops will offer powerful hardware configurations for gaming and performance users. They come with 16-inch and 18-inch IPS LCD displays, respectively, featuring 2.5K (2,560×1,440 pixels) resolution and 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut support.
Processor options include the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX and the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D, paired with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM. Graphics are handled by up to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, combined with up to 16GB of dedicated VRAM. Both models offer up to 2TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage and are backed by 90Wh batteries.
Connectivity on the upcoming ROG Strix laptops includes up to two Thunderbolt 5 ports, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a 2.5G Ethernet port. Wireless options differ slightly between the Intel and AMD variants, with the Intel versions supporting Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, while the AMD versions offer Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
