Apple releases urgent security update for iPhone, iPad and Macs

Apple has just rolled out important updates for iPhones, iPads, and Macs. If you haven’t updated your device yet, you might want to do it soon. Here’s why.

The latest updates—iOS 18.3.2, iPadOS 18.3.2, and macOS 15.3.2—fix a serious security problem in Safari, Apple’s web browser. This flaw, known as CVE-2025-24201, could let hackers sneak into your system by tricking you into opening a malicious webpage. Once inside, they could take control of certain parts of your device without you knowing.

Apple confirmed that hackers had already used this flaw to target specific individuals in what it calls a “sophisticated attack.” That means real people have already been affected, and Apple is acting quickly to close the loophole.

This isn’t the first time Apple has had to fix urgent security issues. Just last month, the company released an update to stop hackers from bypassing USB security on locked devices. Before that, another update patched a flaw that allowed malicious apps to gain extra permissions and do things they shouldn’t be able to do.
