Apple is preparing to debut a new comprehensive gaming application across its ecosystem of devices at the upcoming WWDC 2025. This marks the company's most significant push into gaming territory, with the app reportedly inspired by the Xbox and set to replace Game Center. Moreover, the Cupertino-based tech giant will preinstall the standalone gaming app on all of its upcoming iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, and even the Apple TV box later this year.

According to a report by Bloomberg, as cited by The Verge, Apple is planning to introduce a new Gaming hub-like app for their iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple TV. It will let you launch your installed games, check in on leaderboards, and keep tabs on your in-game achievements, similar to Google Play Games or the Xbox app. With this app, Apple aims to improve the gaming experience of users across its devices amid rising competition from other console manufacturers and cloud gaming services.
This new gaming app is likely to be unveiled at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference on June 9. It will replace Apple's long-dormant Game Center service, which debuted in 2010. It could also be used to promote Apple Arcade, which is the company’s subscription service for games available at Rs 99 per month.
Additionally, the report adds that on Macs, it will even let you launch games that you have installed outside of the App Store. The new app could also integrate into iMessage or FaceTime to facilitate remote multiplayer gaming. xIn line with this new strategy, Apple recently acquired RAC7 Games, the indie studio behind Sneaky Sasquatch, which is one of the breakout hits on Apple Arcade.
