Apple is finally adding a battery feature that Android users have enjoyed for years — the ability to see how long your iPhone will take to fully charge.

It might sound like a small update, but it’s a surprisingly useful one. If you're rushing out the door and wondering whether you have time to get a decent charge, this new feature takes out the guesswork. Just plug in your phone, and head over to the Battery section in the Settings app — or check the Lock Screen — to see how long it’ll take before your battery hits 100%.

This feature also gives you insight into your charger’s speed. If your iPhone tells you it's charging slowly, it might be time to switch cables or plugs — or just avoid relying on that 5W Qi charger.
