WWE Crown Jewel Results: Cody Rhodes, Liv Morgan become WWE's first Men's and Women's Crown Jewel Champions

WWE Crown Jewel 2024 Live Results: Cody Rhodes' dream run in WWE saw the Undisputed Champion script history as he defeated Gunther to become the first-ever Men's Crown Jewel Champion. The match saw an intense battle between the two champions from Raw and SmackDown brand, which Cody closed it with a quick roll-up pinfall. Gunther, although shocked with the outcome, acknowledged Cody's efforts and shook hands with the WWE Undisputed Champion before marching out of the ring.

Earlier, the annual PPV event kicked-off with the six-men tag team match between Solo Sikoa's Bloodline featuring Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu against Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey). Solo eventually went to win the match by pinning Roman, which was after he hit the OTC with two Samoan Spikes. The clash also highlighted unresolved issues between Jey Uso and Roman Reigns despite the former jumping into the new Bloodline crowd, who were ambushing the OTC after the match. Sami Zayn also had a small role to play after the match. Zayn, who shares a long history with the old Bloodline, marched into the ring to save Jey from Solo and his gang, which he did manage. But he also ended up accidentally hitting Roman with a Helluva Kick while trying to knockout Solo.

Liv Morgan defeated Nia Jax to become the first-ever Women's Crown Jewel Champion. The match saw interference from Miss Money In The Bank Tiffany Stratton and Morgan's allies Raquel Rodriguez and on-screen partner Dominik Mysterio. Stratton caused a lot of distraction by trying to cash-in the briefcase, which she claimed was against Morgan. However, she was unable to after interruption from Nia and then Raquel. The latter along with Dominik Mysterio assisted Morgan with the win, which she did by successfully covering Nia after hitting the WWE Women's Champion with an Oblivion.

Meanwhile, a brawl broke out between former friends now rivals Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. The match was waived off as Kevin attacked the referee with a Stunner. Randy Orton hit Raw General Manager Adam Pearce with a RKO. The brawl, which started inside the ring, soon moved to the fan section and ended with Owens splashing on top of Orton.
