The day will end with some hockey action as Harmanpreet Singh and his boys will take on Germany in the men's semifinal. India had showed great resilience in the quarterfinal match against Great Britain and despite being reduced to 10-men the team managed to enter the semifinal. Fans will hope for another superlative effort from our boys, although Amit Rohidas won't be available for the tie. Rohidas has been suspended from taking part in the clash after receiving a red card in the previous encounter.

India's golden boy Neeraj Chopra takes the centerstage in the men's javelin throw qualification and joining him will be star wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who competes in the women's 50kg pre-quarters. Vinesh will take on reigning Olympic champion and four-time World Champion Yui Susaki, who is yet to lose a match in her international career.

It was another tough day for India as the country came very close to winning medals but had to be content with fourth-place finishes. Starting with Lakshya Sen, the 22-year-old, missed out on bronze medal in the men's singles badminton. This was after Lakshya took the first game comfortably and was leading 8-3 in the second game. If Lakshya's heartbreak was not enough, the pair of Maheshwari Chauhan and Anantjeet Singh Naruka missed out on a bronze medal in the skeet mixed team, going down against China by a point.
