Pakistan vs UAE: Pakistan then faced UAE in a crucial group stage encounter, which they even threatened to pullout from. The match was eventually played but only after an hour delay from its scheduled start. Pakistan secured the win and their spot in Super Four stage, but it was a hard fought victory for Salman Ali Agha and his troop. Pakistan vs India: Salman Ali Agha and his men once again met India in the Super Four stage and this time Pakistan produced a much-improved show with the bat and piled 171/5. In response, the opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill gave India an explosive start, stitching 105(59) for the first-wicket.
