Chennai Super Kings showcased a dominant bowling performance against Sunrisers Hyderabad, securing a 78-run victory. Tushar Deshpande led the charge by removing key top-order batsmen in the Powerplay. CSK continued their control during the middle overs, restricting Hyderabad to a modest total of 134 runs.
Hyderabad's Early Struggles
In the Powerplay, Hyderabad lost Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma early on. Anmolpreet Singh, brought in as an Impact Player, was dismissed for a golden duck. Aiden Markram and Nitish Kumar Reddy tried to stabilise the innings but couldn't form a sustained partnership. None of the batters managed to establish themselves in the middle overs, succumbing to the pressure of the required run rate. Hyderabad was bowled out in the 19th over, falling short by 78 runs.
Chennai's Strong Bowling Performance

Matheesha Pathirana showed his death bowling prowess, dismissing Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen and dampening Hyderabad's hopes. Shardul Thakur also took a wicket. Deshpande secured a four-wicket haul, and Pathirana took two wickets. Daryl Mitchell made five catches.
Chennai's Impressive Total
Chennai set a strong total thanks to Ruturaj Gaikwad's 98, Daryl Mitchell's fifty, and a late cameo from Shivam Dube.
