Bumrah (10*), Akash Deep (27*) will resume proceedings from 252/9 when play resumes on the final day. India are trailing by 193 runs but the effort by the duo have certainly raised India's hopes of saving the match. Earlier, Ravindra Jadeja scored 77, while KL Rahul, for whom this tour has been some sort of redemption, made 84. The all-rounder was removed by Cummins, who also dismissed Nitish Reddy for 16(61). Together the pair added 53 runs for the seventh wicket. Rahul was dismissed by Nathan Lyon, courtesy to an absolute blinder by Steve Smith at slips. Smith had earlier dropped Rahul on the first ball of the day. Rahul and Jadeja added 67 runs for the sixth wicket after Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 10.
