With its vivid blue face and helmet-like crest, the cassowary is a stunning sight. But beneath its beauty lies danger. Known as the world’s most dangerous bird, it lives in the tropical rainforests of Australia and New Guinea. Though often shy, a provoked cassowary can become a lethal force.

A Living Dinosaur in the Rainforest

The bird can grow as tall as a human and weigh up to 310 kilograms. Despite its size, it moves with surprising speed and agility. Thanks to powerful legs, cassowaries can sprint up to 31 miles per hour and leap seven feet into the air. They are also strong swimmers, navigating rivers and streams with ease.
