P&G net rises 2.15% to Rs 109 crore in Apr-June quarter

FMCG firm Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care today reported an increase of 2.15 percent in its net profit at Rs 109.40 crore for the quarter quarter ended June 30, 2016.

FMCG firm Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care today reported an increase of 2.15 per cent in its net profit at Rs 109.40 crore for the quarter quarter ended June 30, 2016.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 107.09 crore for the April-June quarter of the previous fiscal, Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care said in a filing to BSE.

Net sales of the company remained flat at Rs 557.09 crore. The company has posted a similar Rs 557.09 crore net sales in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal.

The company follows July-June fiscal year.

Total expense during the quarter was down 1.06 per cent to Rs 412.11 crore as against Rs 416.54 crore.

For the financial year ended June 30, 2016, P&G's net profit was up 22.25 per cent to Rs 423.18 crore, as against Rs 346.14 crore in the previous year.

Its net sales for the year ended June 30, 2016 was up 6.4 percent to Rs 2,481.68 crore as against Rs 2,332.27 crore a year ago.

Shares of Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care today settled at Rs 6,772.00 on BSE, up 0.19 per cent from previous close.
