A Mumbaikar topped the nation’s food-ordering charts this year with an astonishing 3,196 orders on Swiggy between January and November 2025 — the highest recorded by any user across India. The data, part of Swiggy’s 10th edition of How India Swiggy’d, captured the country’s shifting eating habits and food delivery patterns.

For this Mumbai customer, dining “all day” wasn’t a metaphor but a routine. With nearly nine orders every single day, their streak stood out even in a record-breaking year where India ordered 93 million biryanis, indulged in 44.2 million burgers, and turned snack time (3–7 pm) into a national mood.

The report underlined how food delivery evolved from indulgence to instinct — a pause between meetings, a late-night comfort, or simply a dependable part of daily life. Across metros and emerging cities alike, users returned to familiar flavours that anchored their routines, with biryani, burgers, pizzas and dosa staying firmly at the top of the charts.
