Dave Pascoe, a 61-year-old from the US, seems to have uncovered the secret to turning back the clock on aging. His daily ritual reads like a page from a science fiction novel: green banana breakfasts, electromagnetic blankets, and a staggering 82 morning supplements, all aimed at rewinding the biological clock. And he believes that he has the body of a 38-year-old.
But Pascoe is not alone in his quest for eternal youth. He joins the ranks of bio-hackers, a burgeoning community of individuals determined to hack the aging process and reclaim their youthfulness.
At the forefront of this movement is Bryan Johnson, a California-based entrepreneur whose age-defying regimen includes infusions of his son's blood and unconventional devices like erection tracking gadgets.
Johnson, 46, claims he boasts the heart of a 37-year-old and the skin of a 28-year-old, attributing his youthful vigour to a $2 million annual health expenditure. However, Pascoe boldly claims that his regimen surpasses Johnson's both in effectiveness and affordability, totalling $30,000 per year – a fraction of what Johnson spends.
A retired systems engineer, Pascoe stumbled upon this lifestyle not out of a fear of aging, but as a means to ward off cancer and frailty. What began as a quest for vitality has evolved into a meticulous routine designed to defy the ravages of time.
Central to Pascoe's youth-enhancing regimen is an omnivorous diet supplemented by over 120 nutrients, including zinc and hormone-balancing concoctions like Nutrafol. His daily routine is punctuated by exercise, saunas, and cutting-edge electromagnetic technology aimed at stimulating blood flow. He undergoes monthly blood tests, quarterly genetics screenings, and annual bone density assessments. He even gets a mineral analysis of his hair tissue.
His arsenal also boasts wellness gadgets that include a $10,000 red light, a $12,000 sauna - and a $5,490 electromagnetic mat to stimulate blood flow.
The devices total $44,820 - and the cost to sustain the lifestyle i.e. food and supplements are extra.
Pascoe is currently retired, but according to his website, but has a freelance gig as an Amazon Associate. He gets paid when people purchase products that he promotes. Pascoe is currently number 6 on the Rejuvenation Olympics leaderboard. The project was conceived by Bryan Johnson and Dr Oliver Zolman to have a public forum to share protocols and validated results for age rejuvenation.
