Trial court to take up Raja's application on Oct 7

Former Telecom Minister, A Raja has moved an application in the 2G trial court seeking permission to appear in the Supreme Court along with his lawyer on Monday. Remember that the Supreme Court is monitoring the 2G case and the matter is listed for hearing on the 10th of October.

Raja's application will be taken up by the trial court on October 7th. On September 30, Raja's lawyer Sushil Kumar refusedd to file a reply to charges of criminal breach of public trust while asking the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) if the probe against him in the 2G spectrum allocation scam has been completed or not. On Monday, the CBI had filed the additional charge under Indian Penal Code Section 409, which invokes a life imprisonment penalty, against all the 17 accused arrested in the 2G scam till now
