Trinamool Congress-led coalition was ahead in 217 of 294 assembly constituencies while Left party won only 69 seats, drawing the curtains on 34-year continuous rule of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) led Left Front. A: I have not come here to become a minister, in fact, but to be a part of the historical change in Bengal. No such example exists in the world where a party has been in power for 34 years, surpassing all kinds of vote engineering.
