Popular watch manufacturer TAG Heuer has come up with a diamond studded smartwatch that would cost more than an average luxury car. The watch that was introduced during the SIHH 2018 in Geneva is considered as the most expensive smart wristwatch ever.
As per a report in Droid Life, the watch unveiled during the ‘Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie Genève watch show,’ will cost approximately Rs 1.25 crore. The manufacturer has certainly attracted eyeballs, by introducing the pricey watch during the event in which several other popular companies such as Cartier, A. Lange & Sohne, Richard Mille, Vacheron Constantin, IWC, and Audemars Piguet too are showcasing their best work.
The expensive smartwatch is basically an upgraded version of the popular TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 that is additionally paved with expensive diamonds. As per the reports, the watch has been embedded with 23.35 carats of baguette diamond, that are further surrounded by polished white gold.
Other features and specifications of the watch remain identical to the TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 model. The water-resistant smartwatch will feature a 1.39-inch AMOLED display powered by an Intel chipset and Android Wear 2.0.It will be compatible with both Android 4.3+ and iOS 9+.
In addition, it also comes with features such as GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth. On the memory front, it will come with a 512MB RAM along with an additional storage capacity of 4 GB. Powered by a 345 mAh battery the power in the watch can last up to 25 hours and will need less than two hours to fully charge it.
While it will be hard to find a large scale market for the model, it will not be surprising if it becomes the new muse for the niche market who would be eager to add it to their luxury collections.
