Mid tier technology services company Larsen & Toubro Infotech on December 12 announced that it had appointed Nachiket Deshpande as its chief operating officer.
Deshpande was the senior vice president and global delivery head for the banking and financial services unit at Cognizant Technology Solutions in his previous role.
At the US-based technology services major, he was responsible for global delivery and profit and loss across all services lines, products, and platforms, as well as driving large-scale skills transformation.
"LTI is at the forefront of building the next generation IT Services company, and I am excited to be part of this outstanding team. We will be bolstering the industry expertise and deep technology capabilities that have made LTI the growth leader in the sector," Deshpande said following his appointment.
Deshpande has a career spanning 23 years, of which 19 were spent at Cognizant. He was with Tech Mahindra for three years before joining Cognizant.

He brings extensive experience and diverse capabilities to continue our growth leadership. An avid reader and sports enthusiast, Deshpande holds a degree in Electronics Engineering from the College of Engineering, Pune.
