The mini SUV, which was already regarded as the safest car from India (with a 4-star rating) from a batch of 28 vehicles the European watchdog tested between 2014 and 2018, got a 3-star safety rating for child occupation.

Following the Nexon's 4-star result earlier this year, Tata Motors has improved a number of safety features, including making the seat belt reminder for driver and passenger standard for all variants of the model.
