The Atari 2600, a 46-year-old gaming console, which was released in 1977 is getting a new game on a collectable physical cartridge.

There will only be 500 of these made and it can be pre-ordered on Atari's site for $59.99. The 2,600 is one of the most popular gaming consoles ever released and for many was their first taste of gaming at home. It ceased production 15 years after its debut in 1992.

The game that is being released is called Save Mary, which was in development at the company for two years before being scrapped. The game is now being released in a completed state and challenges one or two players to build platforms and save a woman called Mary from falling into the abyss.
