Windows 8 apps officially named ‘Windows 8 Store Applications‘

Will Tschumy of Microsoft recently stated that Windows 8 apps will now be called 'Windows 8 Store Applications'.

Microsoft announced the opening of the Windows 8 Store at the launch of its new operating system, Windows 8 on Monday. The design language of the new OS did not have an official name, and it was commonly referred to as 'apps'.
