Even as the death toll continues to mount in the accidents of Kamayani Express and Janata Express, politics has already begun over the tragic mishap.

Former Union Railways Minister and Trinamool Congress leader Dinesh Trivedi took a dig at the Narendra Modi government, saying the country needs better tracks and not bullet trains.

In a bizarre claim, the former minister further blamed the accident on "caste system" in the railways, saying trains like Shatabdi never face such incidents.

Meanwhile, Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh, in a series of tweets, called for the resignation of Union Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu.
