Coronavirus News highlights: Today is the ninety-third day since India implemented a nationwide lockdown, to curb the novel coronavirus pandemic. India has so far recorded 4,73,105 lakh cases, which includes 14,894 deaths. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Gujarat have reported the highest number of cases. However, the recovery rate is rising and now stands at 57.4 percent. A number of activities have been allowed to resume in a phased manner this month as part of 'Unlock 1.0' plan.

Amid rising COVID-19 cases, Railways cancels all regular train services till August 12
The Railways onJune 25 announced its decision to cancel regular time-tabled passenger services, including mail, express, passenger and suburban services up to August 12. It had earlier canceller all regular train services till June 30.
"It has been decided that all tickets booked from July 1 to August 12 will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued," the Railways said in a press release. Special Rajdhani trains and other services started from May 12 and June 1 will continue as per schedule, it added.

Maharashtra to conduct antigen tests for quick COVID-19 results: Rajesh Tope
The Maharashtra government would conduct antigen tests, which would provide results of the COVID-19 tests within an hour, unlike the current waiting period of over 24 hours, state Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Thursday.
Talking to reporters, Tope said that one lakh antigen test kits will soon be made available in the state.

Kerala Govt has issued some special guidelines for the expatriates who want to return to Kerala from Gulf countries. Regarding this, MEA has informed the govt that state-specific protocols can not be implemented.
"We'll be observing standard operating protocols (SOPs) issued by Home and Health Ministries. The SOPs say that expatriates will have to follow the SOPs being implemented in those countries. Kerala Govt's guidelines are impractical for the MEA to implement," the MoS said.
