On special arrangements for the festive season, Northern Railway General Manager Ashok Kumar Verma said, "... We have announced 195 regular trains... We will run all the trains from platform no.16 (of New Delhi Railway Station). The reserved and unreserved coaches would be separate. On Gyanvapi case, Hindu side Advocate Vijay Shankar Rastogi said, "The court has rejected our application for an additional survey of the protection of the whole Gyanvapi area by the ASI.We will go to the High Court against this decision.within the time limitation, within 30 days."

On Waqf Board, Tejashvi Surya said, "A congregation of farmers from Vijayapura met me and handed over voluminous documents concerning their properties and farmlands, which now the Waqf is claiming to be its own. Whether it is in the Mutation register or the revenue records, the names of the farmers and their families are mentioned. However, over the last few months, the Waqf Board in Karnataka has started claiming all of these lands. In Vijayapura district, the Waqf board is claiming more than 15,000 acres.  Congress Minister in Karnataka, Zamir Ahmed Khan recently went on a tour of many districts in Karnataka and instructed the Deputy Commissioners and the revenue authorities to register these claims of the Waqf Board within 15 days.Without giving any notice, thousands of acres of land have been registered in the name of the Waqf Board. This entire problem is the creation of the Waqf Act, Congress in 1995 and 2013 gave powers to the Waqf Board. The Waqf board has also been given powers of removal of encroachment. I want to request all farmers of Karnataka if the Waqf Board is making such baseless claims about your land, my office is open to you 24/7. This December in the winter session of the Parliament the Modi government is going to correct these blunders and put a full stop to the atrocity and the unilateral powers of encroachment."

Indian Army and Chinese Army to complete disengagement by October 28-29 of this month.  "The latest agreements will be applicable only for Depsang and Demchok and not for other places. This agreement will not be applicable to other friction zones. Troops from both sides will fall back to positions they held pre-April 2020 and they will patrol areas where they patrolled till April 2020. Regular ground commanders meetings will continue to be held. A particulate strength of troops in the patrols has been identified and inform each other when we are going to patrol to avoid any miscommunication. All temporary infrastructure like sheds or tents and troops will be removed. The two sides will have surveillance over the area. Patrolling points in the Depsang and Demchok will be the points where we had been patrolling traditionally pre-April 2020."

After India, China reach an agreement on border patrolling, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Northern Command, Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar says, "To put it very briefly, India and China have been involved in talks both at the diplomatic and military levels to resolve differences in balance areas along the Line of Actual Control. Pursuant to the talks, broad consensus has been achieved to restore the ground situation based on principles of equal and mutual security. U.S. tech giant Apple Inc is welcome to continue deepening its presence in the Chinese market, Commerce Minister Wang Wentao told its Chief Executive Tim Cook during a meeting on Friday, the ministry said in a statement.

India and China have begun troop disengagement at the two friction points at Demchok and Depsang Plains in eastern Ladakh, official sources said on Friday.

The process follows an agreement firmed up between the two countries on patrolling and disengagement of troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh, a major breakthrough to end an over four-year standoff.

The disengagement of troops has begun at two friction points at Demchok and Depsang Plains, the sources said.

A Japanese tourist died and 12 other people were injured when a tour bus smashed into the rear of a truck on a highway in Malaysia, one of Japan's largest travel agencies said Friday.

Taiwan President Lai Ching-te said Friday the island will not cede in defence of its territory, as China maintains military pressure on Taipei to accept its claim of sovereignty.

Two soldiers who were critically wounded in Thursday's terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Gulmarg succumbed to their injuries, raising the death toll in the ambush to four. Two Army porters died on Thursday while another porter and a soldier were injured.

Terrorists attacked a vehicle of the force six kilometres from tourist hotspot Gulmarg in north Kashmir's Baramulla district, officials said on Thursday.

Ten Pakistan border police were killed in an overnight attack on a check post by at least 20 militants, officials said Friday.
